As a Heart Transplant Social Worker, she helped a patient on the transplant waitlist apply for Social Security benefits. Within weeks, he was approved and received his first payment — allowing him to pay his rent and focus on his health instead of financial fear.

When he told her, “You did it — I paid my rent,” it confirmed exactly why this work matters.

Today, Shameeka is building a path that gives her autonomy, flexibility, and the ability to truly change lives — one approval at a time.
